Soldier receives new rank, new responsibilities thumbnail

(Bridgeport, NY) Maj. Gen. Joseph J. Taluto, The Adjutant General for the State of New York, announces the promotion of James Sauta from Bridgeport of the New York Army National Guard in recognition of his capabilities for additional responsibility and leadership.

James Sauta is serving with Company D (Forward Support Company) 427th Brigade Support Battalion. He was promoted to the rank of Private 1st Class.

Army National Guard promotions are based on overall performance, attitude, leadership ability, and development potential.

This promotion additionally recognizes the best qualified Soldiers and attracts and retains the highest caliber Citizen Soldier for a career in the New York Army National Guard.
