(Chittenango, NY) Well over 200 little ghosts and goblins, with their parents, grandparents or guardians attended the twelfth annual “Eriee Halloween” on Sunday, October 25 at the Canal boat Museum in Chittenango. Age appropriate games and activities for ages 3-12 kept little folks busy during the two hour program.
As in the past, the event was community sponsored by Chittenango Rotary, St. Patrick’s Knights of Columbus, Oz Foundation, Lions Club and the Canal boat Museum. Volunteers of all ages were responsible for set up, manning the activities and taking down.
New to the event this year was a play entitled “Erieee Ghost Boat” performed by the museum’s youth club. The play was written by middle schooler Karlene Becker and portrays a canal boat family caught in a dilemma when a ghost appears and disturbs their lives. Three performances were held before standing room only crowds.
