(Sherburne, NY) There are less than two weeks left to submit your photos for the Chenango Bird Club photography contest. Bird Club members will display and vote on submitted photos at their meeting on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 7:00 PM at Rogers Environmental Education Center, Sherburne.
We invite you to send photos for the contest to: Chenango Bird Club, C/O Rogers Center, 2721 State Hwy 80, Sherburne, NY 13460. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the display and vote on the photos, except photographers may not vote in the same category as their shots.
Photos must be of birds, bird related, or local flora and fauna, and taken in Chenango or a bordering county. Photos must be prints, 3×5 up to 8×10, and be accompanied by an entry form. For entry forms and any questions, contact Sandy Dungey at 607-674-6766.
All are welcome and attendees are welcome to stay for refreshments after the photo voting. Chenango Bird Club members will have a short business meeting at 6:30, at which guests are also welcome.
The Chenango Bird Club presents monthly programs (except January, February, and March). Nature enthusiasts of all levels and interests are invited to all Chenango Bird Club programs, free of charge. Rogers Center is located one mile west of Sherburne Village on State Highway 80. Park in the staff parking lot; use the service entrance on Rte 80 (the driveway between the main parking lot exit and the white DEC office), go straight past the parked pickup trucks, and bear right around the pond, to drive to the Visitor Center.
