(Oneida, NY) Are you interested in hunting big whitetail bucks in a traditional manner? The Central NY Sportsman Show provides you the chance to meet and learn from the Salerno Brothers, two of New York’s most successful trophy deer hunters. Tony and Pat Salerno have been carving their initials into trees in the Adirondacks since they were in their teens, signifying where they shot big bucks.
Their motto of “hunt higher and harder” has enabled them to take many big bodied bucks with large racks in a traditional setting, rather than deer on a management farm. Tony and Pat Salerno have been featured on videos, magazines, and television. They will bring their tips, tactics, and equipment that they use to consistently harvest trophy bucks.
The show will feature businesses and clubs from the central New York area representing archery, gun shops, charter fishing trips, wildlife artwork, hunting and fishing equipment and other outdoor related categories. A large collection of mounts will also be displayed. An added attraction will be book signings by popular authors on a variety of topics, and wildlife artist Tom Yacovella will have artwork on display. Kids will enjoy fishing for live trout and a presentation of live NY State wildlife. Free seminars will be offered on various topics including one bytrophy Adirondack deer hunters Jimmy Massett and Dennis Dipe.
Admission is $6, 12 years and under are free. This year’s show is sponsored by Traditions Archery, Planet Fitness – Oneida, Michael J. Laucello –Attorney at Law, and Child Health Associates. For more information call 363-1669, or visit holycrossacademy.com
