Oneida Nation Homelands—Ray Halbritter, Oneida Nation Representative and CEO of Nation Enterprises, will attend The White House Tribal Nations Conference hosted by President Barrack Obama on Thursday, Nov. 5. The White House has invited leaders from recognized tribes to interact directly with the president and representatives from the highest levels of his administration. The meeting will be held at the U.S. Department of Interior.
Halbritter and a small group of tribal leaders from across the country also met at the White House on Monday, Aug. 31 with administration officials, including Kimberly Teehee, senior policy advisor for Native American Affairs. The purpose of that meeting was for the White House to consult on a government-to-government basis with tribal leaders to improve communications.
