Morrisville State welcomes new assistant coach thumbnail

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State College men’s soccer team brings a new member on board for the fall of 2009.

Kyle Graves, a Keuka College graduate, comes to Morrisville to team-up with seventh-season head coach Tom Daviau.  Previous to Morrisville, Graves started his soccer career at Stockbridge Valley Central School where he played four years at the varsity level; two seasons as captain. Graves also landed a two-time recognition as a first team all-star for the CCL selection.

From there, Graves went on to Keuka College where he completed a bachelor’s degree in elementary and special education.  Also at Keuka, Graves was a member of two NEAC championship teams.

After receiving his bachelor’s degree, Graves attended SUNY Brockport.  At Brockport, Graves is working to complete his master’s degree in elementary education and curriculum development.

Graves gained coaching experience through various youth clubs and camps.  From 2004-2009, Graves coached at all three levels of play, modified, junior varsity, and varsity, at East Rochester high school.  During those years, the program earned two sectional titles and one state final-four appearance.

Graves has recently moved back from the Rochester area and is currently living in Oneida with his wife, Alisa, and daughter, Dalaney.
