Oneida Nation Homelands – Duayne Braman is now the director of agriculture operations at the Oneida Indian Nation, overseeing all agricultural operations including the 1,500-head Angus Beef operation, crop and forage production. The farm currently employs a staff of 11 which expands to more than 20 during peak planting and harvest times. Braman joined the agricultural department in August 2000 as a herd specialist supervisor and was promoted to operations supervisor in October of that same year. In October 2002, he became agricultural manager. His promotion to director became effective Oct. 1.
Braman is a U.S. Navy Veteran and a 1998 graduate of SUNY Cobleskill with an associate’s degree in dairy production and management.
