(Morrisville, NY) Three Morrisville State College football student-athletes earned New Jersey Athletic Conference post-season honors, as announced by the conference office Friday morning.
Senior EJ Maeweather (Syracuse, NY/Cass Tech) earned second team defense honors at linebacker. Maeweather finished the season with 69 total tackles, 35 solo, including 12 for a loss of 31-yards, while forcing three fumbles.
Maeweather finished the season tied for 14th in the conference in total tackles, was ranked eighth in tackles for a loss, and tied for third in forced fumbles.
In his two-year career with the Mustangs, Maeweather made 130 total stops, including 17.5 for a loss of 42-yards, defended four passes, forced five fumbles, recovered one, and had 1.5 sacks for a loss of seven yards.
Senior defensive lineman David Daly (Brick, NJ/Red Bank Regional) received honorable mention accolades on defense. Daly in 10 starts, made 32 stops for Morrisville State on the season, including three for a loss of four yards, a half sack for a loss of one, recovered a fumble, forced a fumble and blocked a kick.
In four years with the Morrisville State football program, Daly has appeared in 30 games at defensive end, compiled 86 total tackles, 7.5 for a loss of 17 yards, forced a fumble, recovered three, blocked two kicks and tallied 1.5 sacks for a loss of a yard.
Junior offensive center Justin Balducci (Merrick, NY/Calhoun) received honorable mention honors on offense as a lineman. Balducci started all 10 games for the Mustangs at center, taking each snap throughout the season.
In three seasons with the Mustangs, Balducci has appeared in 16 games on the offensive line, earning the starting position this past season.
Morrisville State finished the season with a 1-9 overall record, 1-8 in New Jersey Athletic Conference action.
