MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) office has named Morrisville State College junior goaltender, Caylin Relkoff (Grand Forks, BC) the Ice Hockey Goaltender of the Week for the week ending November 1, 2009.
Relkoff posted a career high 57 saves, on 58 shots against, in the 2-1 upset victory over nationally ranked #14 Elmira College on Friday night, posting a 98.3 save percentage for the game. Two of his saves came in the closing seconds to secure the win for the Mustangs.
Relkoff was named to the SUNYAC Commissioner’s List last spring for academic excellence.
A 2004 graduate of Grand Forks Secondary School, Relkoff is majoring in human performance and health promotion at Morrisville State College. He is the son of Anne Robertson and Ken Relkoff of Grand Forks, British Columbia.
Morrisville State begins active membership within the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Division III in 2009-10 and is eligible for NCAA Championship Tournament play.
