MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State College athletic department has named sophomore cross country runner, Stephanie Page (Nunda, NY) and ice hockey’s junior goaltender, Caylin Relkoff (Grand Forks, BC) the Mustang Athletes of the Week for the week ending November 1, 2009.
Page led the women’s team to a third place finish at the North Eastern Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships, placing tenth overall with a time of 23:33.2.
Page was also named to the All-Conference Second Team based on her performance at the championships.
The 2007 graduate of Houghton Academy is majoring in equine science and management at Morrisville State. She is the daughter of Georgia and David Page of Nunda, New York.
Relkoff saved 57 of 58 shots against, in the 2-1 upset win over nationally ranked #14 Elmira College on Friday night, a 98.3 save percentage for the contest.
On Monday, he was named the SUNYAC Ice Hockey Goaltender of the Week for his performance.
Relkoff was named to the SUNYAC Commissioner’s List last spring for academic excellence.
A 2004 graduate of Grand Forks Secondary School, Relkoff is majoring in human performance and health promotion at Morrisville State College. He is the son of Anne Robertson and Ken Relkoff of Grand Forks, British Columbia.
Morrisville State begins active membership within the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Division III in 2009-10 and is eligible for NCAA Championship Tournament play.
