The Morrisville State College women’s cross country team finished 8th out of 10 teams and the men 12th out of 14 overall at the CCOC Championships held at Seneca Lake State Park in Geneva Saturday Oct. 17.
The women finished the race with 171 team points, led by Stephanie Page (Nunda, NY) crossing the 5k finish line in 22:14.69, overall in 30th position. Kelcie Degenfelder (Collins, NY) followed Page in 32nd, crossing in 22:24.49.
Brittany Ellis (Camillus, NY) finished third for the Mustangs, running in 22:32.69, 35th position.
Elizabeth Peck (Antwerp, NY) and Regina Laws (Uniondale, NY) finished in 46th and 47th position respectively, crossing in 23:07.26 and 23:07.85.
Daemen College won the race for the women with 37 team points.
On the men’s side, Peyton Williams (Bronx, NY) was top finisher for the Mustangs, completing the 8k race in 30:09.41 for 45th position. Carl Tausend (Cato, NY) crossed the line second for Morrisville State, finishing in 64th overall with a time of 31:23.32.
Curtis Roberson (Brooklyn, NY) crossed in 96th position, finishing in 35:08.97, while teammate Adam Houck (Vernon Center, NY) finished 100th with a time of 36:11.89.
Alfonso Dallas (Syracuse, NY), Edgar Linian (Brooklyn, NY) and Justin Kondrat (Middlegrove, NY) rounded out Morrisville Scoring, finishing in 110th, 111th and 113th overall.
Clarkson University won the race for the men with 27 overall team points.
Morrisville State is on the road at East Stroudsburg University next Saturday Oct. 24.
