(Morrisville, NY) Morrisville State College will host a presentation by Amilya Antonetti, one of the most empowering and inspiring entrepreneurs of the 20th century, on Oct. 1 at 6 p.m. in the theater of the John W. Stewart Center for Student Activities (STUAC).
The event is free and open to the public.
Antonetti, a best-selling author and founder of Soapworks, is known for her determination in saving her ailing son and in the process, taking on the world’s largest corporations and building a company through grassroots efforts.
Her company, Soapworks, grew from an inspiration to a multi-million dollar enterprise ushering in the green and human friendly movement and changing the way the world views cleaning products.
Antonetti has received numerous entrepreneurial awards. Her story has appeared in books, newspapers, and magazines, including Chicken Soup for the Entrepreneurial Soul, People, Working Mother, First for Woman, Smart Money, Inc. and Time. She has been featured on Oprah, CBS This Morning, Extra, and countless international radio and television shows.
The award-winning author of Why David Hated Tuesdays, she is also a favorite guest of The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch and her “Smart Choice Mom” lifestyle and organization tips can be read in Parent and Child and Family Circle magazines.
Together with three other of the country’s top entrepreneurs, she co-founded The Lucky Napkin, a venture catalyst firm dedicated to helping others birth and launch their great ideas.
The presentation is co-sponsored by the Morrisville State College Collegiate Science Technology Entrance Program (CSTEP) and the Sheila Johnson Institute.
