(Wampsville, NY) Madison County Health Department announced that it has received a supply of seasonal flu vaccine and has scheduled a seasonal flu clinic by appointment on December 22nd to start the next set of seasonal flu clinics open to those 6 months of age and older.
“This flu season has hit us hard and we still expect to see another wave of increased flu activity,” said Eric Faisst, Public Health Director of Madison County Health Department. “I strongly encourage residents to take advantage of this opportunity to get vaccinated; It is not too late to keep your family safe and healthy for the holidays by getting vaccinated.”
Appointments may be made online at www.healthymadisoncounty.org or by calling 366-2848.
This vaccine has been made available to Madison County Health Department through American Reinvestment & Recovery Act (ARRA) federal stimulus funding supporting prevention and wellness through immunization. The Health Department will use this free vaccine to increase the number of children and adults vaccinated against vaccine preventable diseases.
