Riley thanks voters

To the Editor:

As I began my travels across Madison County on my campaign, I realized how beautiful our county is. The fall season was upon us, the leaves were changing and the hill sides were full of bright colors. I traveled from Brookfield to Bridgeport, from Oneida to DeRuyter, covering all the corners of our county. During my travels I have had the opportunity to meet wonderful people from all walks of life.

As I began to attend speaking engagements, one to three times a day, it was exciting. There had not been a Madison County Sheriffs race in years. Many citizens were very interested in what was being said by both candidates and took the time to attend the forums. I thank these voters for taking time out of their busy schedules to voice their concerns.

I would like to thank my opponent, James Zophy for a tough campaign that was based on our goals for the Madison County Sheriffs’ department. I also look forward in continuing to work with Chief Zophy in solving the many issues facing law enforcement in Madison County.

I would like to thank my supporters, and all voters who took the time to exercise their right and voted on November 3rd. It is an honor and a privilege for me to serve as your county Sheriff. My staff and I will work hard to make Madison County a safe place for our families.

Thank you.

Allen Riley, sheriff-elect
