Landfill Tipping Fees Increase

(Madison County, NY) Madison County supervisors approved a slight increase in the commercial landfill tipping fees at the Madison County landfill; starting in January, 2010.

New tipping fees as outlined during the November 9, 2009 Board of Supervisor’s meeting are as follows:

$61 per ton with a signed contract
$72 per ton with no contract
$82 per ton for a day use permit holder

The January 1, 2010 tipping fee increase will help to cover the cost of future landfill expansions and closure of old landfill cells.
