Employment Services Available at CAP

Employment Services Available at CAP thumbnail

(Madison County, NY) Community Action Partnership (CAP) for Madison County is now offering employment services for those living, working or hoping to work in Madison County.  Services will include the basics, like resume building and job search, as well as in-depth assistance with issues like professionalism, work attire, and confidence.

CAP staff have been creative in coming up with unique services to give job-seeking individuals the extra edge they need to find employment. Some staff are even providing support in job-seekers’ homes, like helping individuals chose an outfit to wear to an interview the next day.

In addition, staff are setting up a clothing closet stocked only with professional clothes for individuals without appropriate interview and work attire.  Since CAP sent out a request for donations in early October, the agency’s Morrisville office has been filled to overflowing with gently used suits, skirts and office clothes.

Several individuals have already gained jobs as a result of the new services.

The success of the individuals who have come to CAP for employment assistance shows that there are jobs out there and people who want to fill them. All CAP is doing is helping individuals remove the barriers that are keeping them from successful employment.

To find out if you qualify for CAP’s new employment services, call Jodee Osborne at 697-3588 (Canastota Office) or Kim Krula at 684-7862 (Morrisville Office).
