(Brookfield, NY) The rain showers on Sunday, September 27th, did not detour 50 beautiful show vehicles from cruising on over to the Madison County Fairgrounds in Brookfield to join in on “Just Cruise-In 2009,” an event that is held in conjunction with the Annual Wheel Days.

These hardy car enthusiasts were rewarded for braving the unpleasant weather conditions with dash plaque, goodie bags, and nearly everyone took home one of the fantastic hourly give away prizes, thanks to the generosity of our wonderful sponsors.

The vehicles fortunate enough to accumulate the most votes were rewarded with trophies.

The Best of Show trophy winner was a 1930 Ford Model A owned by Thomas Owen of West Edmeston.

First place in the Driver’s Choice division was awarded to a 1956 Ford Pickup owned by Robert Clapp of New Berlin; the second place winner was a 1950 Ford Pickup owned by Carl Carpenter of New Berlin.

A 1967 Ford Falcon owned by Jeff Bryson of Rome captured first place in the People’s Choice division and second place was awarded to a 1972 Chevy Nova owned by Frank Swiderski of Utica.

This year’s Sponsor Choice winner was a 2009 Dodge Challenger owned by Liz McCartney of Waterville.

The “Just Cruise-In” Pit Crew would like to thank all of our generous sponsors and participants for making this event possible, your time and efforts are truly appreciated.
