(Oneida, NY) Oneida Savings recently completed its “Teach the Children to Save” School Banking Program across Central New York. Utilizing the American Banker’s Association’s (ABA) Education Program, Oneida Saving’s is contributing to the ABA’s “Million Child Challenge” by having reached 520 third graders in 2010. Customizing the ABA’s program, 14 Oneida Savings’ employees taught in nine local elementary schools. School teachers and aides assisted with the personalized, hands on lesson about saving and other banking principles.
Parents and children can go to www.oneidabank.com to learn more about saving. This is Oneida Savings Bank’s second year with the program.
