The Hamilton Rotary Club hosted a team of four young Japanese professional and business women under 40, led by Rotarian Miwako Minami of the Wakayama City Rotary club, on their one-day visit to Hamilton.
This year’s Group Study Exchange (GSE) team from Japan’s Rotary District 2640, which has 73 Rotary clubs, spent time in Central New York as guests of Rotary District 7150 to learn about American professional and business practices and how Americans seek to live up to Rotary International’s ideal of Service Beyond Self.
At the Colgate Inn dinner meeting, the Japanese GSE team gave a demonstration of a traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony. Pictured are team leader Miwako Minami to the left of Hamilton Rotary club president Carolyn Gowan, on top Rotary District 7150 Governor-elect Paul Scott, and the four other Japanese team members.
