The Lebanon Historical Society is proud to host a Veteran’s Day Pot Luck Supper and Memorial Ceremony on Sunday, November 15th. During the Bicentennial, two years ago, a similar program was very well received and now that the Historical Society is up and running, we would like to make this an annual event.
A ceremony of reading the names of all war veterans of Lebanon – from the Revolutionary period to the present – will begin at the Lebanon Valley Cemetery at 1pm and conclude with a laying of a wreath.
Afterwards, the community is invited to the Lebanon Community Club for a Pot Luck Dinner. During that time, we hope residents would share memories of the town’s veterans. Penny Hughes will give a short talk about where the LHS stands in its efforts to care for town cemeteries and she will also have historical artifacts and pictures of town veterans on display.
Please bring hot or cold dishes to pass and serving utensils. Dessert and beverages will be provided.
Please join together as a community to remember and honor Lebanon’s brave veterans.
