For the second time in three weeks, Colgate’s David McIntyre (Pefferlaw, Ont.) has been chosen as the ECAC Hockey Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office Monday afternoon Nov. 23.
McIntyre helped guide the Raiders to a 1-1 weekend as Colgate split a pair of games versus nationally-ranked opponents. The senior finished the two-game set against Quinnipiac and Princeton with five points on two goals and three helpers. McIntyre opened the weekend with two assists as Colgate fell to the 13th-ranked Bobcats 5-3, Friday. The following evening, he led the Raiders’ comeback with two goals and an assist as Colgate prevailed with a 5-4 overtime victory over the 19th-ranked Tigers. McIntyre’s five-point weekend gave him 110 in his career, which ranks 38th all-time at Colgate, one behind Cory Murphy. By notching points versus Quinnipiac and Princeton, he stretched his scoring streak to eight consecutive games.
The Raiders, 6-3-4 overall and 4-1-1 in league play, return to action Tuesday evening Nov. 24 as they travel to square off with arch-rival Cornell. Game time is set for 7 p.m. in Ithaca.
