Looking for help with your income taxes? VITA and RSVP tax consultants will be available by appointment to assist you at Hamilton Public Library.  For an appointment with VITA, a volunteer tax service for low income families, call (315) 684-3144 or 800-721-2271.

If you are at least 60 years of age, call for an appointment with an RSVP tax consultant at (315) 684-3001.

Federal and New York State tax forms are available at Hamilton Public Library.

The U. S. Census Bureau is looking for people to assist with gathering data for this year’s census. There will be two census job test sessions at Hamilton Public Library on Friday, Jan. 22. Testing will be at 1:30 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. Interested individuals are asked to come 15 minutes early and to bring a passport or a driver’s license and Social Security card; veterans also should bring DD214.

Appointments are not necessary.

For questions and further information, call (315) 223-0120.

Stay tuned for a special fundraiser for the library in early February – it will involve teddy bears, big and little!

We are looking for someone who might have a collection that they would like to exhibit in our glass display cabinet. Please call the library, (315) 824-3060, or stop by.

Now that the holidays are over, take a minute to sort through your books and consider donating your like-new popular fiction for the library’s in-house book sale. The library is also accepting gently used videos for this sale.

The library is usually open Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please call the library, (315) 824-3060, for assistance during these hours.

The bookdrop at the Broad Street entrance is always open for your convenience.

Barbara Coger is Library Director for the Hamilton Public Library.
