Casey Powers (Chappaqua, N.Y.) was the lone Colgate swimmer to post an individual victory as the Raiders dropped a 194-83 decision to Dartmouth in men’s swimming and diving action, Sunday afternoon Nov. 22 at the Karl Michaels and Spaulding Pool.
The sophomore led a one-two-three sweep ahead of Devon Healy (New Canaan, Conn.) and Nick Amato (East Norwich, N.Y.) in the 1650 by posting a winning time of 16:51.29. Powers came back to post a winning time of 4:52.74 in the 500 free.
Colgate’s only other two victories came in the opening and closing events. The Raiders received a pair of seconds from Gniewek in the 50 (21.67) and 100 (47.69) free events, while Hadjipateras swam a 1:46.33 in the 200 free, which also placed second. Healy posted a 2:16.60 in the 200 breast to gain second-place points.
