Cazenovia, NY – The Cazenovia College Art Gallery presents “WONDERLAND,” a group exhibition of artists from across the U.S., including Charles Birnbaum, Claire Hedden, Ulysses Jackson, Deborah Zlotsky, curated by Jen Pepper, director of the gallery, from Nov. 4 through Dec. 7.
The opening reception on Wednesday, Nov. 4 from 4 to 5:30 p.m., in the Gallery will feature an artist’s lecture. The exhibition is closed during Thanksgiving Break, Nov. 24 through Nov. 30.
The Cazenovia College Art Gallery is on the corner of Sullivan and Seminary streets in Cazenovia. Hours during the academic year are: Monday through Thursday, 1-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.; Friday, 1-4 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday, 2-6 p.m. Summer hours vary.

Sculptor Charles Birnbaum received his bachelor of fine arts degree from Kansas City Art Institute in Kansas City, Mo., and attended the graduate program at Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, Pa. Formerly a bond trader, he now devotes his time to his art. He received an honorable mention award at the 8th International Ceramics Festival, in Mino, Japan in 2008. Claire Hedden, of Normal, Ill., earned her bachelor of fine arts and master of fine arts degrees from the State University of New York (SUNY) College of Ceramics at Alfred University and a post-baccalaureate degree from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth. She was a resident artist at the Archie Bray Foundation in Helena, Mt. She is an adjunct instructor of art in the Ceramics and Fundamentals Programs of the College of Fine Arts at Illinois State University. Her work has been exhibited across the United States and is included in several private collections. She recently received a sculpture fellowship from the New York Foundation for the Arts. Deborah Zlotsky is an associate professor of art at the College of Saint Rose in Albany, N.Y. She received a bachelor of arts degree in the history of art from Yale University in New Haven, Conn., and a master of fine arts degree in painting and drawing from the University of Connecticut at Storrs. Her work has been exhibited at many museum and gallery venues throughout the United States.
