Chittenango Rotary Club News

Chittenango Rotary Club News thumbnail

Submitted by G. James Traub

Pictured from left are Kohei Matsuta, this year’s Rotary Exchange Student from Japan, and Mike DeHart, Chittenango’s Rotary Exchange Student to Germany August 2009 through July 2010.

Chittenango High School seniors are pictured at a recent gathering to recognize and honor them and Beth Carpenter, the teacher who coordinated their visit to speak at the Chittenango Rotary Club during the past school year. Each week the selected student gives a five-minute presentation about themselves, what their interests are and their plans for the future.

Rotary members have the opportunity to ask them questions resulting in a interesting and usually fun filled exchange for everyone.

In the second row are Melissa Baker, William Roehme, Eric Murray and Ellen Heenan. Back row: Erica Hart, Ryan Maconnell, Nick MacLane, Ray Boronczyk and Steven Ceresoli.
