To whom it may concern,
I’d like to express my enthusiastic support for the two incumbent candidates in the upcoming town election on November 3rd. Both Pat and Kristi have been dedicated public servants for many years and have successfully presided over a critical period in our local political landscape.
During my recent tenure as Village Trustee I was fortunate enough to have been able to work very closely with both candidates on a variety of issues. Specifically, Kristi, Pat and I sat together (among others) on the comprehensive plan advisory committee through a collaborative yet grueling process to formulate progressive and actionable guidelines for future community development.
Through months and months of late night discussion, debate, and conceptualization, Kristi and Pat provided calm, level-headed, and open-minded input. Their contributions were grounded in experience and vision. More importantly, both counselors boldly and visibly presented the views of their constituents, consistently representing the voters that put them in those seats to begin with. In my book, these characteristics are the epitome of political leadership.
Moreover, I’ve watched Pat and Kristi skillfully navigate numerous other important issues, from lake health, to shared intermunicipal services, zoning updates, and the budget process, among others. Individually, these issues require hard work, pavement pounding, and a constant reassessment of what’s right for the community – collectively they amount to the equivalent of a full time job with almost zero remuneration.
Yet, because Kristi and Pat so cherish our community, they have raised their hands to express a willingness to serve another term. As the inevitable cycle of difficult issues evolves into the future, their selfless and able service will surely be needed.
Please, exercise your right as an American, AND show your community spirit – vote in the upcoming town board election and use your votes to reelect the experienced and dedicated incumbent candidates, Pat Race and Kristi Andersen.
Respectfully,
Russ Brownback
