The Madison County Courier wishes all the best to exiting supervisors Elizabeth C. Moran (D – Cazenovia), Russell Hammond (R – Georgetown), Walt Jaquay (R – Hamilton) and Richard Williams (D – Nelson) as they re-enter the civilian world and leave elected office behind.
This Board of Supervisors has been one of the best-functioning boards we’ve seen in a decade, and we hope our freshmen supervisors – Ralph Monforte (R – Cazenovia), David Coye (R – Georgetown), Bob Kuiper (D – Hamilton) and Roger Bradstreet (D – Nelson) are able to pick up the job where their predecessors have left off.
We wish Liz, Russ, Walt and Dick all good things as they leave the limelight to pursue other interests and, well, maybe just some peace and quiet.
Messrs. Monforte, Coye, Kuiper and Bradstreet have some big shoes to fill in the coming months, and we wish them luck in their new positions.
We look forward to working with you…or sticking you with spears, depending on whose stories you believe…for the next two years.
