Caz Resident Red Cross Volunteer of Month

Caz Resident Red Cross Volunteer of Month thumbnail

The Madison-Oneida Chapter of the American Red Cross and its partner, Dunkin Donuts are bestowing the November Dunkin Donuts Volunteer of the Month Award to Cazenovia resident, Joan Keilin.

Over several years, Joan has donated many volunteer hours coordinating volunteers for the Cazenovia community bloodmobiles, usually held at the First Presbyterian Church, 27 Albany Street.   The next community drive in Cazenovia will be at the First Presbyterian Church on January 7, 2010.

Volunteers, like Joan, are critical to the American Red Cross Blood Services’ mission of supplying the safest possible, most reliable, most cost effective blood through voluntary donations. As an American Red Cross volunteer, ones talents are used to help the Red Cross to provide blood to people in need.

The American Red Cross is an organization comprised of volunteers, who do the majority of the organization’s work, dedicating their time to help others. As a good neighbor in our communities, Dunkin Donuts has provided a gift card to present to the Red Cross Volunteer of the Month.

For more information on volunteering with the Madison-Oneida Chapter please contact the Madison-Oneida Chapter Office at 363-2900.  To make an appointment to give blood, visit the Chapter’s website at www.madisononeidaredcross.org or call 1-800-GIVE LIFE (1-800-3543).

Many friends have lived because of the blood provided by the Red Cross.

Congratulations to Joan Keilin for your continuing and unselfish service to this nation and its people.
