(New Woodstock, NY) An exhibit of the works of local authors and illustrators will be at the library through October 16.  A reception will be held on Friday, September 25 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.  The exhibit will be open to the public during all regular library hours.  The reception is free and open to the public.

The exhibit includes works by more than 20 local authors and illustrators of note.  Some of the works will be available for purchase.

“This is a very special collection,” said library exhibits co-chair Nancy Edwards.  “It brings together in one place creators of books of all sorts and illustration artwork that adds to the written word.  We are very pleased that so many of these creative individuals have chosen to include their works in the exhibit.  These are the people who create the items that libraries loan and readers enjoy.”

Participants include James Bruno, Cazenovia; Norman Dann, Peterboro; Roger Demuth, Cazenovia; Rachel Guido DeVries, Cazenovia; William Edmonston, Jr., a/k/a Owen Magurder, Hamilton; Don Edwards, DeRuyter; Richard English, Cazenovia; John Robert Greene, Chittenango; Barbara Holmes, Madison; Barbara Linsley, North Brookfield; James Longstaff, Cazenovia; LTC Daniel Marvin, Rippleton; Jeanne Mellin (Herrick), Hamilton; Mary Messere, a/k/a Back Street Mary, Eaton; Jeanette Robertson, Cazenovia; Patsy Scala, New Woodstock; Dale Soderberg, Hamilton; Daniel K. Tennant, New Woodstock; Judithe Williamson, Canastota.

The library is open Monday through Friday 1 to 5 p.m., Monday and Wednesday evenings 7 to 9 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  The library is also open whenever the library flags are displayed out front.

I would add that the book “Expendable Elite – One Soldier’s Journey Into Covert Warfare” is a rare publication with me (being the the author) and my publisher having been taken to Federal Court by the Special Forces Association, no doubt backed by the CIA, (one of whose agents was present at the trial)in a vain attempt to bankrupt me and my publisher and pull my book off the market. We won the court case and published this new edition which includes 100 added pages telling of the trial. If you were to go to http://www.ExpendableElite.com you could read all about the trial itself. In fact, the entire trial transcript (which cost us $2,500.00) is on the website so that the world may read it for yourself and know the truth of what took place in that court session! A new printing is in the mill so that orders may be satisified. You may order a signed book if you so desire at no extra cost.
