Madison County Trout Unlimited Members & Friends Needed

Madison County Trout Unlimited Members & Friends Needed thumbnail

Madison County TU Chapter 680 members and friends:

As part of our chapter’s continuing efforts to work with youth, we have accepted an invitation to be part of the Boy Scout Jamboree to be held at the Great Swamp Conservancy off of N. Main St. in Canastota this coming Saturday, October 10, 2009 from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

Approximately 125 scouts and their parents from CNY and other regions are expected to participate in the Jamboree. We anticipate we will need a minimum of 10 volunteers to insure we have enough instructors to help with fly tying and/or casting instruction.

All needed fly rods and fly tying tools and materials will be provided by our chapter and several of our chapter members. The attending scouts will be divided into smaller groups of approximately 15 – 20 scouts each and will rotate to a different class each hour.

Please contact Lee Cameron via email at camtyer@aol.com or by phone at 315-655-0304 if you can be there to help for all or part of the event. This is a great opportunity for many from our chapter who haven’t been able to participate in recent chapter events to meet other chapter members, share their experience and help teach our youth.

Hope to see you there Saturday!
