Plan New Year’s Eve Bash at Rusty Rail
(Canastota – Dec. 11, 2009) Doug Nodine and Dave DeSantis, known as “Doug and Dave” will perform for the first time Saturday Dec. 19 at the Erie Mill, Main Street in Canastota. The show begins at 9:30 p.m.
The acoustic rock duo from the Verona/Sylvan Beach area have been playing together for several years and last year took the show on the road performing at various venues including the Crazy Clam and the Hollyrock Café in Sylvan Beach, Tommy’s Top Gun in Verona Beach, Walter’s Café and Bistro in Manlius, Pop-A-Top in Oneida, the Hi-Way Bowl in Canastota and the Valley Brook Motel Lounge in New Hartford.
“These guys are a lot of fun,” said Jim Campany, owner of Pop-A-Top. Campany has hosted Doug and Dave several times in his tavern. “They have a great following and the crowd loves them.”
With Nodine on vocals and rhythm guitar and DeSantis’s dynamic lead guitar, their music includes a variety of classic rock tunes by groups such as The Talking Heads, The Beatles and the Grateful Dead along with fan favorites by Dave Matthews, Eric Clapton, Tom Petty, the Dropkick Murphy’s and a couple of Doug and Dave originals.
If you haven’t made plans for New Year’s Eve, join Doug and Dave at the Rusty Rail, Route 5 in Canastota starting at 9 p.m.
