(Canastota, NY – Feb. 2012) On Sunday Feb. 26 the United Church of Canastota, at 144 Center St. will host a fundraising concert event to support the Nicaragua Mission.
The event is to be held from 1:30 to 6 p.m. and will feature a concert by “The Travelers” and guests from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. performing old time fiddle tunes and spirituals.
A silent auction will be held for several donated items and food will be available for purchase throughout the event including a bake sale. All proceeds from this event will benefit the 2012 Nicaragua Mission. The money raised will be used to help purchase the necessary medicines and supplies to support the 5-day mission which will serve over 1,000 men, women and children in remote parts of Nicaragua.
The event is free to attend and the church is handicapped-accessible.
